2020 Toyota Corolla Redesign
Every year, the Toyota Corolla seems to add a few new accents to its already sporty look. In 2020, however, it’s gone above changing the finer details for a substantial facelift.
We now see an even lower and wider stance in the sedan. It rolls in with an aggressive posture that’s underscored by a honeycomb mesh grille.
Winging off the top of the grille, we have standard LED headlights with daytime running lights to keep the road ahead illuminated no matter the weather outside. They’re highlighted by the bold character lines that fan off the hood and sides, leading all the way back to rear LED taillights.
If you like an athletic sedan that assumes the look of the very speed it produces, the 2020 Corolla ought to be to your premier choice.
2020 Toyota Corolla Performance Specs
Speaking of speed, the Corolla has a couple different engine options to satisfy those drivers with a desire for a bit of pep in their daily commutes.
The standard engine is a 1.8L 4-cylinder capable of producing 139 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque. This is the most efficient of the available engines, maintaining an EPA-estimated 38 MPG highway and 30 MPG city.1 If saving money at the pump is one of your big concerns, this standard engine should put your mind at ease.
Granted, if you’re looking for even more muscle, there’s an option for that, too. You can upgrade to the larger 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with Valvematic technology. Increased energy flow in this powertrain allows it to generate 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque for a more energetic response.
Stay Entertained with a Bevy of Gadgets
No good road trip or commute is complete without a bit of entertainment. Fortunately, the 2020 Corolla offers plenty of options to keep you informed and gleefully belting out your favorite tunes.
Your media can all be accessed from the available 8-inch color touchscreen. With features like Apple CarPlay® and Bluetooth®, you can connect your phone and make hands-free calls, pull up your favorite playlists, and queue up your podcasts.
All of the above are going to sound superb when played through your nine available JBL® speakers with Clari-Fi® technology. Clari-Fi® scrubs all audio of impurities to ensure the clearest, most satisfying sound possible.
